Mr. & Mrs. Hanika
Taking place amongst the towering peaks of the Drakensberg Mountains at Cathedral Peak Hotel,
these two adventurous souls celebrated the beginning of their new life together.
Martin and Felicity couldn't have picked a more beautiful place to tie the knot.
While Felicity was getting ready we were met with the sound of rolling thunder and rain...
But come rain or shine, like some incredible fate, the fickle weather settled and rays of sunshine peeked through the dark clouds
during their service...
I strongly believe that buildings can feel life and love.
Although they are made of wood and nails and bricks and screws, they carry memories,
provide shelter from the storm, and become part of who we are.
A wedding day is often an emotional time for both the bride and groom, family and friends who were invited to witness their love.
And, while many people can't wait to get to the reception for dinner and dancing, there are some weddings where the ceremony takes center stage.
"Couples like this, who write their own vows... are making promises to one another based on those things that are most important to them."
As Felicity knelt down, and read her heartfelt promises to both Martin and his son,
every single one of us could feel the depth of her love for them.
These are the moments that define us, the moments that will never be forgotten yet cannot be revisited...
We made our way along the mountainside footpaths and the sweetest,
little wild flowers covered the fields which resembled a warm embrace from the son.
We had such fun during their creative session and with Gods grace we managed to get some incredibly beautiful photographs using the drone.
Every bride can learn from this wonderful couple.
The most important thing to remember on your wedding day is to stay focused on what's really important, each other.
Martin and Felicity's unforgettable will forever be engraved in my heart.
“You either have a good time or a good story. If it happens to rain - have both!”
